Each edition comes with different features and support. You also need to think about what processor is in your computer — this dictates whether you need to install a 32-bit or 64-bit version.

The price of Windows 11 changes depending on where you buy it from. Some people might be eligible for a free upgrade, but others must purchase a license if they want to access. Now that Microsoft has released Windows 11 with requirements well-suited to modern devices, it may be hard to get your hands on the system the traditional way.

The first thing you'll notice when upgrading to Windows 11 is the new, modernized user interface. Microsoft has made the system look more sleek, with a centralized taskbar and new, rounded corners on every window. The UI is also more customizable, with new themes and backgrounds.

You have two choices regarding the style of your system: Light mode and Dark mode. A new section of color options is also available that provides "high contrast" themes. It has four themes that help visually impaired users navigate the system more easily.

One of the biggest changes is that Microsoft has removed the classic Notifications Center from Windows 11, opting for it to be integrated with your calendar. Not only does this give users access to better performance, but also provides a more fluid experience.

Don't worry, audiophiles -- Windows 11 has a whole new set of sounds that goes along with its visual refresh. Say goodbye to intrusive, annoying error sounds and get familiar with the new, modernized sounds that alert you in a much more pleasant way.

What we love is that we don't have to love widgets. Unlike many previous systems Microsoft released, Windows 11 has extensive customization and allows you to turn widgets off if they didn't quite hit the mark for you. This means your computer won't use resources to power widgets when you don't need them.

Security

Security has always been a main focus of Microsoft, which became more apparent with the release of Windows 11. The company has been known for being lenient regarding what devices can install Windows. But this time around, they've stepped up against thousands of threats by requiring advanced security features like TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot.

To answer your most impending question: you can still install and use Windows 11 without these features (even though you need to bypass some checks to be able to). However, Microsoft strongly recommends using a machine that is capable of providing these functionalities.

For example, Secure Boot ensures that your computer starts up without any malware interfering with the process. The Trusted Platform Module 2.0 also brings Windows Hello identity protection and BitLocker data encryption.

Like we mentioned before, productivity was a huge focus when Microsoft started working on Windows 11, and this reflects in the release. Many features center around making the operating system seamless across all your devices and monitors and making navigation and organization easier.

A small feature with a big impact is the new Snap Groups. You get to arrange your windows in 6 different formations that stay together as a group even if you switch off to a different tab or desktop.

Yes, there are multiple desktops.

Windows 10 already had a feature that lets people create multiple desktops on the same computer. But it felt lackluster and unfinished. Windows 11 does this better. You can set up different desktops for different apps and personalize them with backgrounds. You'll notice when switching between desktops that more customization features are available now too.

Few people predicted a complete overhaul to the Microsoft Store, but it's here regardless. The changes aren't just visual either -- although the new update made the application much more appealing and easier to navigate.

The biggest surprise for us was the inclusion of Android apps in the Microsoft Store, with full support for running on Windows 11. You can install your favorite apps and use them without having to pay for a bothersome emulator that might not even work.

The new Microsoft Store comes with the enforcement of a new Store Policy, too. And owing to this policy, popular apps like Reddit, TikTok, Amazon Store, and VLC have officially made their way to the new store, making it far more functional than the previous one.

Upgrading to Windows 11 is a simple affair, but we understand that you might be apprehensive if you’ve been sitting on Windows 10 for long. As we'ved layed out in our guide on how to install Windows 11, most PCs can upgrade from Windows 10 for free through a simple Windows update. We strongly recommend going this route to avoid malicious Windows 11 installers that can surface in search engines.

Your only hurdles are the Windows 11 system requirements. You’ll need a recent processor from Intel or AMD and, critically, support for TPM 2.0 on your system. TPM is basically a hardware security processor in modern PCs. Nearly all desktops and laptops support TPM 2.0 but make sure to check our list of motherboards that support TPM if you built your own PC. Window 10 doesn’t have this restriction.

Also, you can technically install Windows 11 on unsupported hardware, but we wouldn’t recommend doing it. Microsoft could stop supporting systems that aren’t certified for Windows 11. You might not get critical security updates anymore (though Microsoft has rolled out Windows 11 updates for unsupported hardware since launch).

Finally, Microsoft has completed the Windows 11 rollout. So, any PC with supported hardware can upgrade to the new Windows OS for free. If you don't have it you can buy it from Microsoft or a trusted retailer like SoftwareKeep. Unsupported PCs may be able to upgrade, but they’ll have to deal with a Windows 11 watermark (unlike Windows 10).

Windows 11 is great and the reviews are positive, including our own. So, it’s worth giving Windows 11 a shot.  

Forget about some features in Windows 11. For example, you can no longer sync your desktop wallpaper; Internet Explorer and the Math Input panel are gone; and a few apps are also removed. Those apps are 3D viewer, OneNote for Windows 10, Paint 3D, and Skype. You can still find those in the store, though. Microsoft has a full list if you’re concerned.

So, is Windows 11 worth it? The answer is Yes.

Windows 11 is a major step forward for Windows, and it has indeed managed to improve on the past versions of Windows with its new features, apps, and enhancements. But that doesn't mean there are no cons in Windows 11 either. You might encounter a few issues while using the Windows 11 operating system.

At the time of writing, all Windows 10 owners have a free upgrade to the latest Windows 11 version if all system requirements are met. You can try the OS for free, and if you don’t like it, there’s a 10 day grace period for reverting back to Windows 10. It’s now or never if you want to try out Windows 11.

If, when installing a new application/program on your PC, you see Bytefence Anti-malware also installing, it means you have downloaded it as a bundled program. Users who’ve allowed the program to install have seen it change their browser and system settings. They’ve further reported that they cannot remove the Bytefence Anti-Malware from their installed applications like other normal programs. What is Bytefence Anti-Malware virus?

The genuine Bytefence Anti-Malware is a security program by Byte Technologies. This suspicious distribution method has earned it the name Bytefence Anti-Malware virus. Most security experts and other antivirus programs identify it as a potentially unwanted program (PUP).

What does Bytefence Anti-Malware (virus) do

Once the Bytefence Anti-Malware virus manages to infiltrate and install on your PC, it alters your browser settings. It then installs on your browsers and hijacks your search engine and search queries by setting up and assigning the new tab URL, homepage, and default search engine settings to search.bytefence.com. It will then redirect all your searches through search.bytefence.com site and append this URL to target each browser shortcut.

It does other things such as:

• Its Set-ups infiltrate several third-party apps and/or browser plug-ins (known as “helper objects”).
• Significantly diminished internet browsing experience.
• Gather information relating to your personally identifiable Internet browsing activity and data such as IP addresses, search queries, websites visited, pages viewed, mouse/keyboard activity, and geo-locations. 
• Share gathered information with various third parties, who can misuse your details for criminal purposes or generate revenue.
• Generate nagging, aggressive, and intrusive ads, banners, and pop-ups on your screen even when your intent connection is off.

If you encounter these unwanted redirects that take you to search.bytefence.com, you need to uninstall all suspicious apps or browser add-ons immediately as well as the Bytefence Anti-Malware. 

How To Remove Bytefence Anti-Malware

There are two methods that can be used for ByteFence removal. 

The majority of security programs detect Bytefence Anti-Malware as a potentially dangerous PUP; thus, 

• You can get rid of Bytefence Anti-Malware automatically using a professional antimalware tool. 
• You can uninstall Bytefence Anti-Malware manually from your PC

Bytefence Anti-Malware is installed on the PC as an executable (.exe) program. Many users reported that they cannot uninstall ByteFence using Add/Remove Programs service because the installer is missing from the list.

We recommend using the automatic method because it will remove Bytefence Anti-Malware and any other malware or virus residing in your PC. 

Note: Although the software will eliminate anti-virus with its registries, you will have to remove the Search.ByteFence.com virus and reset each of your web browsers. Once done, reboot the system to save the changes.

Use the following instructions to remove Bytefence Anti-Malware: 

Step #1: Disable Bytefence Anti-Malware on Task Manager

1. Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc to open Task Manager.
2. Locate bytefence.exe process and disable it.

NOTE: there may be more than one ByteFence-related processes. 

Step #2: Uninstall Bytefence Anti-Malware on Apps (Programs & Features)

1. Click Wins Key + I to open Settings 
2. Click Apps (or Apps & Features).
3. Locate ByteFence, click on it, and select Uninstall.
   

Step #3: Remove Bytefence Anti-Malware from registry files

1. Press Wins Key + R to open Run
2. In the run dialogue box, type regedit, and press Enter
3. Locate and remove all registry entries that belong to ByteFence. 
4. On the registry entries box, click HKEY_CLASSESS_ROOTS
5. Search for the files located in folders and delete them:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\\Software\\ ByteFence

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\\Software\\ ByteFence

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\\Software\\Microsoft\\Windows\\CurrentVersion\\Run\\eg ui 

Step #4: Delete all ByteFence related files in the system 

Search for ByteFence related files in the following folders and delete the:

C:\\Program Files\\ ByteFence

C:\\Document and Settings\\All Users\\Application Data\\ ByteFence

C:\\Documents and Settings\\%USER%\\Application Data\\ ByteFence

Step #5: Remove ByteFence Anti-malware from browsers 

1. Investigate all your browser’s shortcuts for search.bytefence.com
   • Right-click on the browser short cut on your desktop (any browser) and inspect its properties for search.bytefence.com at the end of the browser’s shortcut target (command line). Remove it and save the changes.
2. Remove search.bytefence.com from browser extensions 

On your Google Chrome Browser: 

1. Click on your Chrome browser's three dots menu button (located at the top right corner).
2. Select More tools > then click Extensions.
3. Locate the extension and click Remove to uninstall search.bytefence.com.
4. Open chrome://settings>content>notifications.
5. Delete all rogue notifications, including those related to search.bytefence.com.

On Mozilla Firefox:

1. Click on menu then select Add-ons.
2. Locate Extensions.
3. Click Remove (located next to the add-on) to remove it.
4. Locate options on the Menu > privacy & security.
5. Scroll to permissions and click settings and block the search.bytefence.com. 

On Internet Explorer:

1. Click the Tools button (located in the top-right of the corner).
2. Select Manage add-ons.
3. select All add-ons (In the drop-down menu under Show.)
4. Double-click the add-on to remove tech-connect.biz in the new window, then click Remove.

After completing all these, reset your browser(s) then restart your PC to effect the changes. 

Important Note!

Prevent websites, ISP, and other parties from tracking you

You can use a VPN (Virtual Private Network) to prevent your Internet Service Provider, the government, and third parties from tracking your online activities. This will allow you to stay completely anonymous. You’ll also be able to torrent and stream privately, ensuring optimal performance and not slowing you down. Additionally, a VPN will also help you bypass geo-restrictions and view such services as Netflix, BBC, Disney+, and other popular streaming services without limitations, regardless of where you are.

Precision Selecting

Have you ever selected too many cells or the wrong ones? If yes, don’t worry anymore. You can now deselect extraneous cells without having to start over. It is now easy to translate text into a different language. All you need is to select Review > Translate> Translate Document. You then select your language to see the translation. CONCAT

This is a new function similar to CONCATENATE. First of all, it is shorter, thus easier to type. Ideally, it supports a range of references, including cell references. 

The CONCAT function combines the text from multiple ranges and/or strings. However, it doesn’t provide the delimiter or IgnoreEmpty arguments. 

To include delimiters such as spacing or ampersands between the texts you want to combine and to remove empty arguments that you don’t want to appear in the combined text results, you are instead advised to use the TEXTJOIN function.

IFS

Are you tired of tying complicated, nested IF functions? If yes, the IFS function is the solution. Using this function, conditions are tested in the order you make specifications. If passed, the result is returned. Additionally, you can also specify an else “catch-all” in case none of the conditions are met. 

The IFS function checks whether one or more conditions are met, and returns a value that is in correspondence to the first TRUE condition. IFS can take place of multiple nested IF statements. Additionally, it is much easier to read with multiple conditions.

The IFS functions allow up to 127 different conditions. However, it is advisable not to nest too many conditions using IF or IFS statement. This is because multiple conditions need to be entered in the correct manner, and it can be quite difficult to build, test and update.

SWITCH

The SWITCH function evaluates one value, what we call expression, against a list of values, then returns the result corresponding to the first matching value. In case there is no match, an optional default value is returned. 

TEXTJOIN

The TEXTJOIN function combines the text from multiple ranges and/or strings. It includes a delimiter that you specify between each text value to be combined. In case the delimiter is an empty text string, this function will effectively concatenate the ranges.

Data Visualization with Insights

• The Graphics Fill feature changes the color of the icons. There are tons of colors to choose from and the color you choose applies to the whole icon.
• The Graphics Outline option changes the color of the edges around the icons.
• The Graphics Effects feature presents numerous effects like Soft Edges, 3D Rotation, Glow, Reflection, and many more.
• The Wrap Text feature helps control how texts flow around your icon.
• The Send Backward and Bring Forward tools are handy when layering your icon. Place your document or any object behind or in front of your icon.
• The Align function helps you place your icon on the right edge, at the center, or the left edge of your page.
• Fuse many icons to become one object using the Group function. What you need to do is choose one icon, hold down the CRTL key, click on all desired icons, and hit Group. Click Group > then Ungroup if you want to ungroup your icons. 
• There exists a size feature that entails tools to resize or crop your icons. If you want to change the height besides dragging on the edges, you can type in your desired dimensions on the Height and Width boxes on your top right side.
• Also, you can crop the icon as you wish using the Crop feature. To crop one side, drag the cropping edge inward from the desired side. To simultaneously crop two sides, hold on Option and Shift keys and drag the cropping edges inward. 
• Rotate or flip your icon horizontally or vertically using the Rotate command.
• To change the icons at the same time retaining the existing effects, go to Change Graphics and choose from a file, online sources, or icons.
• With the Format Pane, you gain access to tools that help change your icon.

    2. Insert Scalable Vector Graphic (SVG) files

SVGs are specials images you can modify without losing their original quality. This means you can spin, change color, and resize vectors and keep their quality.

Insert an SVG file by going to the Insert tab > then Pictures > and Picture from a file.

You have several options to modify the appearance of your SVG images in MS Word. Access the customizing tools by clicking on your SVG image to reveal a Graphic Format tab. Customizing features for SVG files are like those of icons. Refer to the “inserting icons” guidelines above for SVG file customization.

• Choose one or many desired images and click Insert.

Modifying the Appearance of Your 3D Models in Word

• Microsoft Windows Server 2019 Single User CAL Open License Review

If you are looking to upgrade your MS Access software, the new 2019 version is a great bargain. It is much light (unlike Microsoft Access 2016) gives a pleasant user experience such as more advanced tools to choose from and faster navigation options to consider.

Microsoft Access 2019 Features

Microsoft Access 2019 is easy to install and use. If you have used other versions of this application, you should not be worried about how to navigate the new version. But that's not all it has some improved features that improve the user experience, among which include:

1. Property Sorting

Property Sorting is a very useful feature for people who design using Microsoft Access. You don't have to spend lots of time searching for a property if you want to make an adjustment. Access 2019 has the "All" tab in which you can locate all the times. All you need to do is locate the "All" tab and then click the sort button to put properties in alphabetical order. This comes as a huge help for those time-consuming "blind-spot" moments.

To use this feature, here's the procedure:

1. Open the property sheet in design mode to display forms and reports
2. Tap the sort toggle button that is placed on the upper right corner of the sheet. The properties will be sorted in alphabetic order.
3. To restore to default settings, tap the toggle button again.
   
   

 2. Large Number Data Type

Access 2019 now has a new data type field called "Large Number." Previously, there was a limitation to the size of the numbers you would enter in the data fields. And, it is compatible with the SQL Server “bigint” data type. This is where Access 2019 gets better.   

The Large Number Data type is for storing very, very large numbers, i.e. it can support huge numbers from -2^63 up to +2^63. This is something that older Access versions lacked.

Besides, you can import data from SQL servers by simply enabling the “Support Bigint Data Type for Linked/Imported Tables” setting.  

To make use of the Large Number Data types option:

1. Click the Access option dialog box 
2. Select Type of support.
3. In the support section, you can then choose the Support Bigint Data Type for Linked/Imported Tables option.

3. Accessibility Improvement

The new application has been developed with enormous considerations for those users with disabilities.  Individuals with visual impairments, who initially used the Windows narrator, will enjoy some further improvements. They now have at their disposal many functions that could not be recognized or read in the older versions using windows Narrator and other assistive technologies.

Here are the improvements that have been made for Windows narrator:

• The options group name in the dialog box, along with its qualities.
• The filter menu arrow on columns in the datasheet can be read.

• Navigation has also been improved immensely; you can use the left or right arrow to move radio buttons. Furthermore, you can toggle the button by pressing the space bar or the enter key.
• The readout of column names and sheet contents is better.
• Narration, when control is focused on, has also improved significantly.

Here are the notable improvements for using Windows high contrast mode:

• The record navigation bar filter button at the bottom of the datasheet is now visible.
• When you edit text, the saved import tab is visible in the manage data tasks dialog box.
• Forms and reports are displayed in high contrast mode in the form of datasheet column headers, themed command buttons, and specific cell text color in datasheets.

Access 2019 now includes a “Label Name” control to help assistive technologies detect and highlight user-defined contents and associate it with other contents.

Further accessibility improvements include:

• To create a table, click Alt+H.
• Opening the filter menu of a table click Q
• To find and replace, press FD
• To pass over all sections in a popup form, click F6 and Shift+F6 shortcuts.

4. ODBC Connection Retry Feature

For Access database systems that link to other types of data sources such as the SQL Servers, connections often failed. To make matters worse, it meant you had to close and restart the database to access what you needed. Now, you'll not suffer this fate anymore. Access 2019 attempts to automatically re-open the connection by itself. Once you lose connection here's what will happen:

1. You will receive an error message
2. The application will attempt automatically try to re-establish the lost connection
3. If not successful, you can no longer work with objects from the failed data source but can continue with your work in other unaffected parts of your database.
4. If you opt to keep trying to recover the lost objects, the application will try to recover them.

5. Easier Values editing Capabilities

Initially, older Access Versions had editing challenges. You had to click some icon at the bottom that guided you into the edit list. This issue has been rectified in Access 2019 by introducing a keyboard shortcut that opens into the list dialog box. You just press CTRL+E while in the list box, and an edit list items dialog box pops up. 

6. New Data Charts

The new Access version is revolutionizing data presentation in the simplest of forms. You will have about 11 data presentation charts that are easy to comprehend from which you can choose. Some of the charts you will encounter include the following:

• Column charts

With this presentation chart, categories are represented by the X-axis (horizontal axis), while values are displayed on the Y-axis (vertical axis).

• Line charts

The line chart allows for an even distribution of categories on the X-axis and an even distribution of values on the Y-axis.

• Bar charts

With this chart, the categories are placed along the Y-axis, while the values are placed on the X-axis. The organization of the axis is the reverse of the standard placement like in other charts.

• Pie chart

For a pie chart, the data categories are represented like slices of a pie. The data values are expressed as percentages to the whole pie. What percentage of the pie does the pie slice represent?

• Combo charts

Combo charts combine several chart types to represent data entries. For instance, you could use a column chart and a line chart to describe different but related data items.

7. Linking to dBASE

Microsoft Access 2019 has reintroduced dBASE linking. The feature used to be available in past versions then it went away. But now it's back. This will allow you to open and import files from the dBASE files (.dbf) files. You can also export your data to the same dBASE files. Besides, if you need to link to a system written in dBASE you now can as if the table were stored in Access. And if you want to extract data permanently out of dBASE you can now do that too.

8. Tell Me Box Improvement

This is probably the most interactive platform that Access has ever had with its users. But it hasn't worked well in previous versions. Access 2019 improves the user experience with the Tell Me Box and allows users to search content that they'd be looking for in an Access database. The system responds by giving you a list of recommendations that is related to what you are searching for from which you can choose accordingly.

As soon as you type in your query, the application will give you answers for easy to answer questions. However, if your query is hard to solve, the system will provide you with a variety of close options that closely match your needs. It is hard to remember where you place your items hence this feature is of great help to users.

9. Connectors to Salesforce and Microsoft Dynamics

With the rise in the adoption of third-party cloud services, Microsoft has risen to the occasion and added a new “From Online Service” section. Placed in the external data tab, the option allows you to use external data services such as SharePoint Lists and Data Services. The new application has incorporated Salesforce and Microsoft Dynamics 365.

10. New Label Name Property for Controls

A new label name property for controls has been incorporated into the new Microsoft Access application. This feature allows you to associate label controls by merely cutting and pasting the same content into different controls.

Such a feature will ease accessibility with assistive technologies as they can easily make out associated label names and controls.

11. Master Database Creation and Management

The Microsoft Access 2019 will enable you to store, analyze, organize, and share data just like older versions. You will be able to create tables, work with data sheets as well as validate data in these sheets. Moreover, you can still use XML Data Access page design and visual basic automation.

Interaction with other windows applications such as word and excel is more effective and efficient.

12. Easy to Resize Objects in Design Windows

Resizing table objects in older versions was quite a task. The clickable areas of the table were hard to grab by the mouse and resize accordingly. 13. Improvements on the Navigation Pane Scrolling

Scrolling through a DPI display mode was quite a hustle in the preceding versions of Access. Undesirable and unexpected behavior could alter operations. Microsoft has addressed the issue in the 2019 version, and your scrolling should be flawless.

Other Features 

In addition to the newly incorporated features, Access boasts of some extra beneficial qualities that you will surely enjoy, such as:

• It is easy to integrate, can work correctly with SQL, Sybase, and oracle for front-end or back-end tables.
• With a large storage capacity, you can store many gigabytes in Access 2019.
• Data importation is simple; you can gather data from other sources and use it in Access with ease.
• Cost-effectiveness, in comparison with other database management systems, Access 2019 is a deal of a lifetime.
• Can be accessed remotely, you can view and modify your Access databases remotely over a dependable connection.

However, it also comes with its share of flaws, that could include the following:

• It is a finite database management system. It cannot hold vast amounts of data as it comes with a file size limit.
• Data is saved in a single file. Such slows down the application’s performance.
• Multimedia data is hard to work with within this program. Due to the single file saving system, multimedia data would be hard to work with since it requires more space.
• It is not dependable on time-critical transactions. It takes time to process data into the required form.
• Security issues, generally, no security improvements have been made in the new version; hence, the safety of your data is still questionable.
• Poor relational design controls and forms are difficult to customize. You need to have some level of SQL programming language knowledge to master the use of access. 

Despite the few setbacks the application wields, it is a huge improvement from its preceding versions, and you should give it a try.
